FIB TRAINING

I could not catch sleep yesterday night also..had to wake at almost all the night..
read somestuff on physics of microfabrication...

Morning went to FIB training..it was at 9 and I was 5 min late..I had to run a half kilometer distance and when i entered the clean room..Prof Zhou wei was with his research student exploring...he waived his hand and started telling me stuff..but i was good as all other fellas were late than me..so people from SIMTECh and PEN Center came there after 15 min and one guy came a hour later..prof zhou wei was cool..

we had a training for three hours..how to pattern stuff on silicon chip as expected it was very good.. for the first time i could see things at nano level...i have seen things on micro level at MICROMACHINES CENTRE when i was working there for Prof.Franck but not at nano level.It was damn good.

LAter after having lunch ..i went to make some sample patterns..i made a pattern of circle on silicon wafer..and I WIL POST THE IMAGES tomm....

I observed something...when the surface was FIB patterened..it left a kind of wavy structures at the place where we patterened..when i asked the research student there about them..then she started saying about them and telling me that they are called nano structures and they help in understanding crystal structure and the same subject was her PhD thesis related...so she was also happy that i observed that..next time i go ..i have checked some work on nano structures previously from NNC and now i should check whether she was the author of those papers..if so I can learn more from her..in a detailed discussion with her some day ...]
OK ..for now ..i say good bye and I will post those patterned surfaces at nanolevel tommorow..it was a great treat to my eyes today..
